The Diet Solution Review – Great For Anyone Who Needs To Lose Weight

You might have heard of a diet book that’s been out for a while called The Diet Solution.  It’s written by a woman called Isabel De Los Rios and seems to be really popular with a lot of people.

Is This One Really Different?

It caught my eye because unlike most of these types of books it’s not making unrealistic claims or using some ‘fad’ method for trying to lose weight quickly.

A lot of the diets out there might work short term but you really need something long term for the weight to stay off.

You also need something that allows you to eat some decent food otherwise you starve yourself and end up binging and probably gaining more back than you lost.

How This Can Help

The Diet Solution just gives solid advice along with meal plans that most people will actually be happy to have on a regular basis.

Although I’ve lost most of the weight I wanted there are still a few too many pounds around my belly and waist area I want to get rid of.

Once you see some good progress like I have it actually inspires you to keep going.  But I felt like I needed a bit more knowledge to help lose even more weight which is why I took a look at this program.

My Diet Solution Review

The Diet Solution was created by Isabel De Los Rios, a nutritionist and life coach from New Jersey. The plan isn’t specifically tailored to new moms, but can certainly be used by new moms who need to lose their pregnancy weight in order to redeem their former figures.

The diet emphasizes natural foods, which can be of benefit not only to you, but also to your nursing baby.

The Diet Solution isn’t a “one size fits all” plan, but rather three different plans which are intended for different metabolic types.

The idea is that low carbs are good for some people but not others, and low fat is good for some people but not others, and that you need to find the diet plan that is best for you.

Not A Crash Diet!

The Diet Solution isn’t intended as a crash diet, but instead a plan to follow for life.

You are required to stay within an ideal calorie range, and also to eat a wide variety of organic food. Since many diets restrict you to a narrow band of food, this one is healthier for the long term.

When you start the diet, you first take a questionnaire which groups you into a metabolic type.

The nutritional requirements for protein, carbs, and fats are distinct for each category, and the meal plans you follow will be different than those provided for another metabolic type.

The Good News

You’re allowed to snack on The Diet Solution, but you are encouraged to choose healthy snacks like raw nuts, fruits, and veggies. You will be avoiding highly processed foods and hydrogenated fats on the diet, regardless of your metabolic type.

You are allowed to drink alcohol on the diet, but only one glass per week, and preferably red wine. You can drink two cups of coffee a day, and instead of eating sugar (which is terrible for you), you use stevia, a natural herbal sweetener developed in Japan.

What You Get

Included in the Diet Solution are meal plans and recipes for foods which include organic eggs, meats, and fish, along with fruits, vegetables, raw nuts, natural (whole) grains, and natural oils.

Even if you’re a vegetarian you can eat this diet, because you can use the nuts and eggs for protein.

Most people who try the Diet Solution report losing 4-8 pounds in the first week alone. Afterward, you can expect to drop 1-2 pounds per week.

The metabolic types identified in the diet aren’t necessarily scientifically 100% accurate, but they do work for a lot of people, and are perhaps more sophisticated than the “one size fits all” approach, which doesn’t recognize that every person is unique.

The diet is very suitable for new moms because it encourages dieters to only eat natural, real foods. This is healthier for a nursing baby, or for a growing child.
